In this episode of the Ordinary Radicals podcast, Jonathan Hayashi and Brandon Boatner speak on money, money MONEY!?
What is a tithe? Is that even a New Testament idea? Why is this even a topic to be talked about? is this even an issue? Is this even a problem within churches worth covering within the podcast?
Some highlights from today’s episode;
• Unfortunately, money ties into the homelife, many people who get divorced cite financial issues as the reason why they get divorced.
• Average person is living with an incredible amount of debt. Statistics says the average is $90,000.00.
• Time is a daily treasure that attracts many robbers.
• Jesus is not looking for the quantity of our giving, he is looking for the quality of our hearts in giving.
• The very act of giving is an act of faith. God loves you and He wants to take care of you like any good parent will do that.
• Money is not evil. The love of money is evil. When we cherish money more than Jesus, that is evil.
• Young people are giving; they are just not giving to the church.
• Money belongs to this world and we are not taking it with us.
